Getting to central Granada from the airport, train or bus station
Palacio del Carmen is on Calle Párraga, in the Magdalena quarter, between Puerta Real and Calle Recogidas. Here is how to get here from the main arrival points.
From Federico García Lorca airport
Granada-Jaén airport is about 20 km from the city centre.
- Bus: the Alsa line between the airport and Granada leaves from level 0, next to Arrivals, and stops at Gran Vía, Triunfo and the Palacio de Congresos. Times are matched to flights, so check them on alsa.es. You can buy tickets online, in the app or on the bus.
- Taxi: there is an official rank outside Arrivals. It is the most comfortable option with luggage or late at night; the ride usually takes about 20 minutes.
From Gran Vía, the palace is about a 10-minute walk.
From the train station
Granada station is on Avenida de los Andaluces, about 2 km from the palace.
- On foot: about 25 minutes, mostly flat.
- By taxi: about 10 minutes from the station’s own taxi rank.
From the bus station
The bus station is on Avenida Juan Pablo II, about 3 km from the centre.
- City bus: line 33 leaves from outside the main entrance. Get off at “Acera del Darro 40”, the stop closest to Puerta Real and Recogidas, and walk a few minutes to the palace.
- By taxi: about 15 minutes.
Coming by car
